Michelin has introduced a brand new tyre for the worldwide commuter market available in fitments for scooters, step-throughs, and small motorcycles in the form of the latest City Extra.
The new City Extra tyre range, which replaces the City Pro tyre range here at Cambrian, delivers 10% longer life and 24% better wet grip according to internal test data, and is also available in a wider variety of sizes for scooters, providing increased market penetration.
These performance enhancements are made possible by the innovative, adaptable tread design created by Michelin’s engineers. This advancement in the tread pattern design avoids uneven wear, and also features the manufacturer’s Water Sipes to cut through the water layer on the road surface to achieve excellent levels of grip in the most challenging weather conditions.
Alongside the improved grip and lifespan, the renowned puncture-resistant structure of the former City Pro has been further optimised to ensure that the City Extra delivers even better durability and, as a result, peace of mind for riders during their daily commutes.
