Suzuki’s GSX-R125 is a fantastic looks race rep in their blue MotoGP livery, but can you actually race it for real?
Well it turns out that the team at Suzuki UK wanted to find out, so they tasked 44Teeth’s Alistair Fagan with finding out by entering him into a 4-hour endurance race on a stock bike.
Al roped in Fast Bikes editor Bruce Wilson for the event, and the team at Dunlop came on board with a set of Moto 3 slicks to replace the stock D102 rubber that comes on the bike as standard.
They then headed to the Teeside Autodrome for the first round of the Freetech Endurance championship, a low budget racing series for small capacity machines.
Freetech have two classes to choose from; Streetstock or Superstock. The former involves stock engines in standard frames with tweaked suspension, exhausts and fuelling, while in Superstock pretty much anything goes!
It’s probably safe to say that the Dunlop slicks aren’t used to the patched tarmac of Teeside, but it just made the race all the more interesting!
