With the new MXGP season set to kick off this weekend with a home round at Matterley Basin, the team at Dunlop have one very clear goal – build on that winning momentum of late 2019!
This season Dunlop are set to act as technical partner to three teams with their popular Geomax range, following the signing of a new three year deal with the organisers of MXGP to act as an official supplier to the series.
Kawasaki Racing Team, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing and Standing Construct GasGas Factory Racing will all be flying the Dunlop flag this year, with top riders including Clement Desalle and Glenn Coldenhoff.
Coldenhoff will certainly be keen to continue his good form into 2020, taking victories in four of the last eight races last season.
WMX star Courtney Duncan will also be hoping to defend her title, althjough fellow Dunlop rider Kiara Fontanesi will be keen to re-take her crown.
The hard pack surface at Matterley Basin certainly provides Dunlop and their supported riders with a unique set of challenges, but MXGPO Event Leader Eddy Seel is confident they’ll be up to the task:

Released part way through the 2019 season, the MX-53 is the product of Dunlop's commitment to continuous tyre development at the higest levels of the sport.
Dunlop state that the revolutionary tread design provides additional traction, durability and rider confidence.
The horse-shoe shaped front pattern and staggered rear block pairs perform on both soft and hard terrain.
