Dunlop Announce New Geomax MX-33

Dunlop Geomax MX-33

There’s a new member of the Geomax family coming to a dealer near you very soon!

Due to replace the excellent MX-3S, the new Geomax MX-33 promises “multi-surface performance” according to Dunlop, who have been working closely with top MXGP riders to develop the new tyre.

An improved tread pattern featuring tie-bars between shoulder blocks is said to provide increased resistance to cracking on firmer terrain, as does the new compound formula.

It will continue to use their block within a block technology, as do other Geomax motocross products, which helps riders to better control slides.

The focus on developing a multi-terrain tyre should help to give Dunlop riders an edge over their competitors on tracks which feature mixed conditions.

“Our success in FIM World Championship MXGP has helped Dunlop riders win at the highest level. But it is a two-way benefit,” says Dmitri Talboom, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe product manager. “Top level riders have also given us clear feedback on what they need from a tyre to win. That’s why we have focused on widening the versatility of the Geomax MX33 and producing an industry first – a true hybrid tyre for soft and intermediate conditions.”

Dunlop are set to release six front sizes, and eleven rear sizes.
