VIDEO: Michelin’s New Enduro Tyre

New Michelin Enduro tyre 2017 UK availability

Michelin have a new enduro tyre, and yes… we’ve already got them on the shelf!

The all-new aptly named ‘Enduro‘ is set to replace the extremely popular Comp range, although die hard fans of that tyre will be pleased to know that some stocks still remain, although expect them to sell out pretty quickly.

Michelin’s R&D team spent four years working on the new Enduro, which uses a more versatile design and motocross inspired compound with the range of ‘Medium’ rear sizes claimed to work on all terrain types.

Apart from the option of a ‘Medium’ or ‘Hard’ option on the front in 90/90-21, that makes tyre choice for your next race a lot simpler!

If you’ve already seen the range of sizes, and are wondering why there’s no ‘Hard’ version of the 90/100-21, it’s all down to the weight of the tyre. With it’s 48xx x 13mm tread blocks, this is already a bigger and heavier tyre than it’s 90/90-21 counterpart. Creating a ‘Hard’ specification tyre adds further weight which would make it more difficult to turn, increase rotating mass and result in heavier steering, none of which are ideal even on slower ground.
