If you’re an adventure bike rider who wants to explore off the beaten track once in a while, then Michelin’s new Anakee Adventure could be just the tyre for you!
Michelin’s new adventure tyre enters an increasingly crowded marketplace, alongside the likes of Continental’s TKC 70, Metzeler’s Karoo Street and Pirelli’s Scorpion Rally STR.
Billed as an 80/20 tyre, it boasts greater off-road prowess than the Anakee III which it supersedes at the top of Michelin’s adventure and trail tyre range.
Featuring an aggressively styled tread pattern, it also offers excellent water drainage capabilities for better grip on wet roads.
Michelin’s 2CT and 2CT+ construction also create a tyre with softer shoulder compounds, which improve cornering grip. The centre band of the tyre uses a more durable, harder wearing compound to deliver better mileage.
Our first stocks of the new Anakee Adventure have already arrived in the most popular sizes, and we eagerly await some feedback from the official launch when it takes place later this year.
In the meantime, Michelin have just released a new video to promote the tyre, which you can watch below:
