PIRELLI SUPPORTED RED BULL PRO NATIONAL MX SERIES KICKS OFF IN STYLE!

Britain’s most cutting edge MX series, the Red Bull Pro Nationals kicked off at Foxhills to great fanfare this weekend with Pirelli playing their part with a popular tyre service for riders of all ages and abilities.

Fans and riders were treated to fantastic racing at the panoramic arena at the steep hillside circuit whilst off-track, big screens, MX freestyle jumping, displays from major manufacturers and the legendary Red Bull Party showed other organisers how to put on a show! Pirelli benefited from a highly visible presence with a trade display for fans, full tyre service for riders and to cap off a great weekend, the brand was the most successful on track with a 1-2 in MX2 and runner-up in MX1. A steady flow of riders visited the Pirelli tyre fitment service all weekend as word spread of this useful new addition to the paddock. With 350 riders taking part in the series, the tyre changers are looking forward to some busy weekends ahead!

A wide range of Pirelli Scorpion MX tyres are available from Mini-bikes upwards with extremely competitive supply and fitment prices. Pirelli have won 51 World MX titles to date showing their dominance in this arena at the very highest level. Steffen Baum, UK Product & Consumer Marketing Manager of Pirelli Moto commented, "What a great day’s racing and the facilities for riders and fans are second to none, this is like a World Championship event! We are happy with the level of interest from riders for our new service and this can only be even higher more going forward. Matt Bates, MC Federation Chairman added, "Overall it’s been a great weekend and the weather has been kind to us when it’s been so wet for the last few weeks. The Pirelli presence has really added something for the riders, I have had parents coming up to me all weekend to say what a great service they have received, Pirelli are an extremely welcome addition to the series."

On track action ranged from the hard charging 65cc riders showing immense maturity as they tackled the fearsome circuit, up to the Pro Nationals Elite riders who really got to show their World class abilities. Pirelli riders had great results through the day but no more so than the Red Bull Pro Nationals elite class as they took an MX2 1-2 with Jake Nicholls (HM Plant KTM) and Elliott Banks-Browne (DB Racing Honda) topping the podium. Meanwhile in MX, Stephen Sword took second overall on his Buildbase CCM. Stephen Sword, "Of course I was looking to get a win today and I do love this track but I got a bad start in race one and knew I could have had the win in race two, I just made a small mistake. The grip from the Pirelli’s has been good all weekend and the track changed as it has got harder and dried. I’m now looking forward to the next round and going one better!"
