With practice well underway at the Manx GP this week, we have already some some great weather conditions with clear skies and dry roads.
Preparing for Saturday’s 500cc Classic race, competitors have been pushing their Avon tyres hard with the Morecambe Missile John McGuinness putting in 2 laps at over 109mph on his classic Paton.
Avon report that team mates Ian Lougher and Ryan Farquhar were close behind McGuinness, whilst Jamie Hamilton quickly got to grips with his classic MV Augusta also putting in a 107mph lap. The fastest of the Manx Nortons was ridden by Michael Dunlop who managed an average of 106mph, with Dan Cooper just behind at 105mph.
Pictured is Michael Rutter on the Matchless G50, and he will also be competing against the likes of William Dunlop and Kiwi Bruce Anstey fresh from his two wins at the Ulster Grand Prix.
